Samaritan First Responders Society Employment & Volunteers:

 

Individuals interested in applying to The Samaritan First Responders Society for employment or to be come a volunteer must complete an application online or by mail with a photo and brief  resume & description of  your experience and the volunteer position that interest you.

The Executive Assistant & Key Employees Positions are:

a).  Executive Director Assistant, b). Secretary & Admin/Manager, c). Treasurer with Accounting & Bookkeeping Experience, d). Experienced Human Resources Manager of  Personnel, e) Experienced Medical Assistants ( Retired EMT and/or RN). The SFRS Medical Specialist will be provided with advanced training and certification with these innovative medical devices.

Volunteers for the Local Crisis & Support Teams-by State:

The SFRS organization currently seeking individuals with good managerial and leadership  skills & experience as a first responder (FS), veteran, EMT, RN and/or individuals with emergency management education & skills. These auxiliary emergency response teams maybe formed from a local community-based ” Crisis & Support Response Teams within their state or their adjoining state and are mobilized by the senior SFRS Incident Commander (IC) who knows the qualifications of each member of the CST Team. The (IC) may request additional training and instructions for each volunteer assigned often in pairs of two or more.

The following are the various positions available as a volunteer and a general description for each of the community-based Crisis & Support Response Team Member Positions:

Team Leader ” Incident Commander”(IC):Experienced (FR) Responsibilities includes the entire CST Team, and supervises the entire incident  with effective and tactical management and coordinates with each member of the SFRS CST team.* ( First in the Chain of Command in the field of operations)

Operation Team Leader(OTL):Assist the (IC) and Oversees field operations, resources allocation, and personnel management and *Second in Command- within the CST Chain of Command.

Public Information Officer (PIO): Supervises and manages media relations, public communication, and crisis communications with news and other media outlets ( Must have prior approval from the SFRS Board or Committee)

Logistics & Planning Officer (LPO): Supervisor that implements logistics, planning, and resource procurement for the SFRS Team. ( *4th in the CST Chain of Command).

Health & Support Supervisor Officer (HSO): An Experienced RN  or paramedic to manage and supervise SFRS (EMSs) and other healthcare professionals while overseeing others in crisis intervention from a disaster.

Emergency Medical Specialist (EMS): an SFRS Training & Certified Medical Specialist equipped with Advanced Telemedicine Technology Equipment who collaborates with a Licensed Medical Physician from first aid & health solutions.

The SFRS through its partnership (GlobalMed) will provide the verification & training as a Medical Specialist(SMS) and receive hands on training as a volunteer. SMS can earn Medical Certification and an opportunity to earn valuable experience which could applied to a salary position in the medical field. Currently applicants for this position as a SFRS( SMS) are being heavily recruited in both North Carolina and other countries because of the needs for emergency medical technicians working in the  SFRS Disaster Relief.

 

Volunteer Coordinator Officer (VCO): Recruits, trains and manages volunteers.

The majority of  The SFRS Volunteers will be needed to fill these position, but with training can be promoted to higher positions within our community-based organization.

Support Staff of  Volunteers: These individuals assist in various roles as needed, including administrative support, communications, and on-site support.

Volunteer Civil Engineers:

These SFRS Volunteers for these positions may require a state license with experience, but can also receive on the job training from an SFRS Supervisor. These individuals Civil engineers will include: Heavy equipment operators, General Contractors, Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenter, Truck drivers, and other operations etc..

Important: The SFRS Volunteers must complete an Application and Pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening  test, provided by a third party provider. After approval each SFRS Volunteer must agree & sign a required Volunteer or Independent Contractor Agreement and comply with SFRS written policies, procedures and guidelines governing neutrality and behavior and its Code of Conduct Policy.

 

 *National & International Volunteers-(CSTs & ICSTs)Join the

 

The Samaritan First Responders Society (SFRS) given the number of applicants, the SFRS is for a limited time waving its monthly membership fee with a one year fee of $ 10.00 USD or $ 120.00/ year for both national and international members.International Crisis & Support Teams (ICSTs) of The Samaritan First Responders Society-(SFRS). Moreover, each Crisis & Support Team member must meet with approval from the SFRS Executive Committee and meet the standards provided in its Code of Conduct Policy.

For each volunteer applicant, there will be a charge from a third party vendor that will conduct a criminal background check. Once the background check has been completed and approved, the SFRS will forward to each approved volunteer the SFRS Volunteer or Independent Contractor Agreement via DocuSign.
